We’re a mission-driven, on-campus startup.

Hydrodore was founded in 2018 by 3 Vanderbilt students who were frustrated with the quality of the water from water fountains on campus and disheartened by the massive amount of plastic water bottles they were going through. They could only imagine how much plastic was being wasted by the whole of the student body. They knew there had to be a better, more convenient way to get high quality water while reducing plastic usage. This hunch led them to create Hydrodore.

Hydrodore is a student-run campus startup that delivers water towers and jugs to dorm rooms and apartments in order to provide Vanderbilt students with a way to drink more water and waste less plastic! Our values, beliefs, and interests reflect those of the student body and Vanderbilt University as a whole. We pledge to conduct ourselves with the utmost integrity, civility, accountability, and care, and to always give back to the Vanderbilt community. It is also important to us that everyone has the opportunity to take part in our mission to reduce the usage of disposable plastic bottles on campus.
